Flight Lieutenant and later Squadron Leader Syed Abid Raza, was Staff Officer Training I, Training Directorate, HQ No. 2 Group, PAF Base Drigh Road/Faisal, Karachi, Pakistan (August 1957 - March 1959). It was a staff job and the responsibility of the position entailed technical training of Airmen in the Training Directorate of HQ No. 2 Group. He was promoted to the rank of Squadron Leader in 1958.
